When shopping for quality wall beds or a modern Murphy bed, good construction is the most important thing to look for. Whether it's made of melamine or solid wood, you want your wall bed unit to be a solid piece of contemporary bedroom furniture that maintains its integrity for years, not weeks or months. Because of the nature of Murphy beds and wall beds, you also want to make sure they're set up properly so they can give you years of good use. Wall beds and Spacesaver beds are essentially the same thing with a few exceptions and are manufactured in Arizona for Arizona delivery. Our wall beds are pre-manufactured from solid wood. They come in five pieces that we put together when we install the bed in your home. The legs at the foot of the bed fold out from the face of the folding bed cabinet, which becomes the bottom of the bed. Spacesaver beds come in similar cabinets and each has a leg that folds out from inside when you deploy the bed for sleep. They also use spring mechanisms instead of gas pistons to aid in lifting the bed to put it back into the cabinet. Whether you're considering a modern Murphy bed in a quest for unique kid beds, or your goal is to acquire the cabinet bed for yourself, you will save valuable space with your new Murphy bed, Spacesaver bed or wall bed. Both wall beds and Spacesaver beds are available in either vertical or horizontal cabinets. On the whole, both are equally as durable as the other. The mechanisms however are different on each bed. The wall bed uses pistons on each side of the bed to help lift the bed into the cabinet and the Spacesaver bed like the Murphy bed uses springs for a counter balance to help lift the bed into the cabinet. The Murphy bed is simply a metal framed bed that's stored vertically in a cabinet with doors. Because of the nature of melamine the manufacturer of our melamine cabinets uses pin & cam fasteners instead of plain wood screws to give the melamine a longer life and to reduce the wear and tear on the melamine core. This will add more years to the life of your bed, whether it be a wall bed or a Murphy bed. Melamine wall beds and melamine Murphy beds come from a different manufacturer, so they can bed shipped worldwide.
