Spacesaver beds come in similar cabinets and each has a leg that folds out from inside when you deploy the bed for sleep. They also use spring mechanisms instead of gas pistons to aid in lifting the bed to put it back into the cabinet. Both wall beds and Spacesaver beds are available in either vertical or horizontal cabinets. On the whole, both are equally as durable as the other. The mechanisms however are different on each bed. The wall bed uses pistons on each side of the bed to help lift the bed into the cabinet and the Spacesaver bed like the Murphy bed uses springs for a counter balance to help lift the bed into the cabinet. The Murphy bed is simply a metal framed bed that's stored vertically in a cabinet with doors.

Because of the nature of melamine the maunfacturer of our melamine cabinets uses pin & cam fasteners instead of plain wood screws to give the melamine a longer life and to reduce the wear and tear on the melamine core.
